Caldecott Primary School, Abingdon
Water, sand, bikes, football, basketball, tennis and an adventure trail are accessible to the children. Art and music are part of our play and learning and the club creates a homely environment, giving the children healthy snacks and drinks.
We support children to talk about themselves, encouraging them to paint pictures of their families and taking photographs of each other to display. Children experience projects about their home and community, developing confidence in their activities.
Positive Relationships
We provide a family environment, children can have quiet periods of time, having big cushions and fleecy blankets to be comfortable on.
Children are allocated a key person and the partnership between parents and staff are based on working together, supporting every
child’s individual need.
Enabling environments
Children feel safe and secure, they gain the confidence to explore our exciting environment indoors and outdoors.
Indoors, children can choose to use the Xbox, ICT suite and a wide range of creative tools. Outdoors, children can water and watch vegetables grow, climb the adventure trail and play team games.
Learning and development
Children experiment and problem solve. Children take part in story telling and listening to headphones, developing their
communication and language skills. We are lucky enough to have a wide variety of resources for children to extend their learning.
Funding is available for all of our clubs and 1:1 support is offered for children to access all activities.
All staff are very experienced and trained to Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
