Music at Caldecott School

Music is a key part of life at Caldecott School.  All children are introduced to recorder in Y2 and keyboard in Y3 as part of their music curriculum lessons and then have the opportunity to continue if they wish.

Throughout the year children have the opportunity to take part in numerous musical activities and in 2016 has seen the performing arts continue to flourish at Caldecott with opportunities for our children to perform and take part in music, dance and drama every month this year. In case you missed any of the events, these have been the highlights:

February

Year 2 were invited to St Hilda’s College, Oxford for a wonderful music recital and Year 6 were lucky enough to watch Larkmead’s fabulous production of Annie.

Christmas Singing with Caldecott Primary School

Pupils at Caldecott Primary School have been singing carols for us and are wanting to encourage others in the county to do the same. Teachers at the school believe doing different activities with children like singing in schools helps more with all their learning.
