After School Club Leader/Assistant
Overview
Caldecott Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic After School Club Leader/Assistant to run our wrap around care provision on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon. On a Monday and Tuesday, you will work as an After School Club Assistant with a team of experienced after school club staff. Please note, a level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent is essential for this role.
Our after-school club leader plans and supervises activities, ensures children's safety and well-being, provides a nurturing and engaging environment, and manages staff and resources. Key duties include communicating with parents, providing snacks, organising activities, and fostering a positive and stimulating atmosphere, in line with the school ethos.

The Important Stuff!
The total number of hours per week is 9.5, to be worked term-time only.
Monday & Tuesday – After School Club Assistant. Working hours are 15:15 – 17:30. This is a grade 4 role paid at £13.05 per hour.
Wednesday & Friday – After School Club Leader. Working hours at 15:15 – 17:45. This is a grade 6 role paid at £13.90 per hour.
We currently have vacancies for Teaching Assistants, and we are happy to combine the roles.
We can offer discounted places in our after school club for your children on the days you are working.
This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2026, with a view to going permanent from September 2026.
