Y6 Morfa Bay Residential Trip 2019

We have had a very exciting first day here at Morfa Bay and, after a delicious mug of hot chocolate, the children were all looking forward to a good night's sleep in their new rooms.

After enjoying our packed lunches, we all changed into our wet suits and headed down to the beach for a spot of body boarding; it was amazing! The waves were of a good size and so the children were able to body board properly. It was so much fun all being together as a big group and lovely to see the huge smiles on the children's faces. Stars of the sea are too numerous to mention as they were all brilliant.

Dinner was a noisy affair with much happy chatter. After devouring the meal (and seconds...and thirds in some cases) we headed for a nighttime walk down the hill to the beach where we played games with 'Smurf' our leader for the evening.

We finished the evening with a get together in the games room where we discussed and nominated children for 'star of the day'. It was very tricky to single out just one child from each activity group but we had to and so the stars for today are...

Amroth - Esme for boundless positivity and optimism.

Angle - Shania for her joy of the sea (first time ever in the sea and she absolutely loved it).

Caldy - Ruby H for her joy of the sea (even though she was nervous, she gave 100% and loved the experience)

Well done to all the children for being wonderful ambassadors for our school :)
