Hello and welcome to The Red Kites Class Page.

We have strong values in the Red Kites class and we learn from the wonderful birds we are named after. Red Kites have come back from the brink of extinction to be a common sight in Oxfordshire. They have shown resilience and resourcefulness to do this. As Red Kites, the children will learn to be more resilient by remembering that we all make mistakes and sometimes it takes longer to understand things. Resilience also teaches us that we shouldn't give up but sometimes we need a break. We will learn about the importance of teamwork and how to support each other as we are stronger when we work together. 

As a school, we learn about the 5Rs which help us with our learning and our relationships. The 5Rs are resilience, resourcefulness, respectfulness, reflectiveness and responsibility. The 5Rs help us to be better learners and better members of our school community. 

Our main aim in Red Kites is to be kind, respectful and to always aim high. To help us achieve this, we have three core rules to guide us. They are:

Be ready

Be respectful

Be safe

These are important to us and help us to be the best we can be.
